QUICK PARO-THIMPHU TOUR

Day One, Paro-Thimphu.

Your flight to Paro will offer you a beautiful mountain views. On this flight the views of the Everest, Kanchen Junga and other Himalayans peaks, including the sacred Jhomolhari and Jichu Drakey in Bhutan are awesome. On arrival at Paro International Airport our guide will receive you and drive to Thimphu to check you in your hotel. If time permits take leisure walk around the town and see some handicraft shops. Overnight in hotel.


Day two, Thimphu-Paro.

After breakfast drive for sightseeing in Thimphu valley includes the following;

Textile Museum

– The museum is patronage of His Majesty the Queen Ashi Sangay Choden. The museums have the great collection of textile product from all religion of the country and it has a show room inside, which sell the textile product to interested costumer.

Folk heritage museum

-The particular building showcases the authentic life style of the Bhutanese in past decade. The building is believed to be constructed 150 to 200 year ago. There even can see prayer wheel, Mustard Oil making Process, Hot stone bath and the process of Ara.

The Institute of traditional Arts and Craft

-Royal Government of Bhutan initiated to institute this school to preserve our rich invaluable heritage and promote our traditional Arts in the year 1971. Here student were taught

The institute of Traditional Medicine

-The rich herbal medicines abundant in Kingdom are prepared here. The Institute also imparts the art of herbal medicines would be practitioners. Here we have the Museum which showcases the ingredient used for manufacturing the medicine. Drive for lunch in the town. After lunch drive to visit,

1.Takin Reserve, the Mini Zoo

-To the north of Thimphu called Motithang lays a Mini zoo and see some collection of Takin, the National Animal of Bhutan and deer’s. Now the sightseeing is almost over in Thimphu valley. For last minute shopping, if any, drive back to the main town. Spend some time and later drive back to Paro. Overnight in hotel.

Day Three, Paro-Halt

After breakfast drive to Hike Tiger Nest

-It is on the cliff about 900m above the valley. It’s about 2-3 hour walk uphill. Legendry says that Guru Padmasambhava flew to the cliff on the flying tigress from the Far East Singye Dzong. The site was founded by Nyingmapa sect and later Zhabdrung meditate and started the construction but unfortunately he passed away. Later, the construction was completed by Desi Tenzin Rabjay.

Way back from the Monastery stop at Taktsang Cafeteria for lunch. After lunch descend till the base and drive to Hotel. On the way visit Kyichu Lhakhang

– This is one of the Temple from 108 temples built in single night by a Tibetan King Songtse Gyelpo in 7th century in order to subdue the Ogress that lies over the Himalayan. This Temple is believed to be built on left foot of the ogress and the country’s oldest Temple. Overnight in Hotel.

Day Four, Paro-Departure

After breakfast drive to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. Your tour staff will help you to fill formalities if any and see off with bit farewell.
